🌵 About Agave Potatorum ‘Shoji-Raijin’ cv. Mediopicta
Shoji-Raijin Mediopicta is a highly sought-after Japanese variegated Agave known for its tight rosette form, bold cream-colored center stripe, and dramatic blue-green margins. Each leaf is edged with fine, sharp teeth that give it a sculptural, architectural look.
This cultivar stays compact and slow-growing, making it ideal for windowsills, patios, collectors’ shelves, and rare succulent displays.
Mature size: approximately 6–10 inches wide over time.
🌱 Care Instructions
Sunlight:
Bright light to full sun. Acclimate gradually. Strong light enhances variegation and compact form.
Watering:
Water only when soil is fully dry. Agave are drought-tolerant and prefer to stay dry rather than wet.
Soil:
Use a fast-draining cactus or succulent mix. A 1:1 blend of cactus soil and pumice/perlite is ideal.
Temperature:
Protect from frost. Keep above 40°F.
